I was hoping there is a hack we can do to the installer that would permit us to install under High Sierra or Perhaps do a manual installed of each component within the install package. Thanks a lot, happy to stretch the lifetime of this workhorse another couple more years! LiDE f flat bed scanner is not reconsized by my Imac I have reinstalled the driver from Cannon but without oide Any Ideas please!
You could choose custom and deselect PhotoStudio and OmniPage, since we didn’t delete those applications. It works fine under OS Thanks for the reply!
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Easy to use app for a great range of photo prints, gifts and more. That might be an important step as 6000f are trying to install something that has to work inside the macOS System.

This can install it and your scanner will now appear in Image Capture as a device. I installed the El Capitan-suggested files mentioned in the article, but the machine would still not recognise my LiDE F.
I contacted Canon support before I read Mike’s post and am awaiting xanoscan reply. Now, back at the Scan window, click Apply to save the settings. I have confirmed the scanner is a Mac supported model, and I’d rather not return it!

I’m going to try any workaround posted in ths forum. Professional Camcorders Professional Camcorders. Lidee sole warranty, if any, with respect to such non-Canon brand items is given by the manufacturer or producer thereof. Do you have any other suggestions? My assumption is that there could be files remaining from its scanning application that are interfering with the Toolbox. As a separate device or combined with the printer?
